Scottish Young Carers Festival 2012

The Scottish Young Carers Festival (SYCF) is a fun packed weekend exclusively for Young Carers Project’s all over Scotland.  Last year, Over 500 young carers, attended the festival over the weekend where they experienced loads of exciting activities, met with other young carers and enjoyed some well-deserved time out from their caring role. 

As well as enjoying a variety of inflatable activities, stage make-up, and a disco, the young carers also had the opportunity to question local politicians.  The highlight of the weekend however was the surprise visit and performance of boy band, McFly.  All of the Dundee Young Carers had a fantastic time.

This year the SYCF has been extended to two nights!  We will be leaving Dundee on 17th-19th August.  Photos to follow!!
