Family Support

Family Support is offered to all families of young people currently engaging in the project. Family support is tailored to meet the requirements of each family, either on an individual basis or through occasional group work.

Examples of the kind of support that is offered are:

• Signposting to other agencies, identifying appropriate supports within the local community relevant to the families needs
• 1:1 sessions for parents, including support and advocacy
• Work with siblings, looking at communication, anger management and resolving conflict
• Work with the family unit, looking at communication, anger management and resolving conflict
• Accompanying parents to appointments, meetings
• Gathering information for families, support groups, services available
• Promoting healthy lifestyles
