Through Community Voices we aim:
- To empower young carers
- To work with a variety of agencies delivering the Scottish Executive Social Justice Strategy
- To develop wider community involvement whilst supporting young carers
- To work with Young Carers to give them a voice
- To develop confidence and self-esteem in Young Carers
We aim to achieve this through:
- The Young Carers Forum and developing the forum further
- To organise presentations from outside agencies i.e. Careers information; sports presentations; IT presentations
- Make recommendations on behalf of young carers
- Network with other youth led/voluntary sector/statutory organisations
- To seek out training opportunities for Young Carers
- To act as an advocate for Young Carers
- To develop an older Young Carers group
- To act as a facilitator, enabling Young Carers access to a variety of training opportunities.
