Information Sessions

We now facilitate monthly in-house information sessions, in conjunction with our managing agent; The Princess Royal Trust Dundee Carers Centre. The sessions allow professionals, students and anyone else with an interest in the whole organisation and the work that we do, can find out more in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.

The next session is taking place on the following date in the Dundee Carers Centre Centre -

Friday 19th September from 10am to 12 noon.

Family Support Work

The YCP is now offering Family Support Work to all families of young people currently engaging in the project. Family support work is tailored to meet the requirements of each family. Examples of the kind of support that is offered are:
 

• Signposting to other agencies, identifying appropriate supports within the local community relevant to the families needs.

• 1:1 sessions for parents: support and advocacy.

• Work with siblings, looking at communication, anger management, resolving conflict etc

• Work with the family unit, looking at communication, anger management, resolving conflict etc

• Accompanying parents to appointments, meetings etc

• Gathering information for families, support groups, services available

• Healthy living work: in partnership with another worker.
